On 31 October 2006, the First Presidency asked Area Seventies “to work with stake presidents to establish committees for multistake young single adult activities where practicable.” To that end, the North America Northwest Area Presidency has worked with stake presidents in Western Oregon and Vancouver, Washington to create multistake committees.

The Eugene Multistake Committee is presided over by President Thomas H. Palmer, 2nd counselor in the Santa Clara Stake Presidency. The committee is used to plan activities for young single adults in the Eugene, Coos Bay North, Roseburg, Santa Clara, and Springfield Stakes.  A subcommittee is presided over by President Sherman D. Wright, 2nd counselor in the Redmond Stake.  This subcommittee is used to plan activities for the Bend and Redmond Stakes.

Sean Bailey (Eugene Stake) and Katie Blair (Eugene Stake) are the YSA chairpersons for the committee.  McKenzie Strunk (Bend Stake) is the YSA chairperson for the subcommittee.  If you wish to contact the Eugene Multistake YSA Committee or Subcommittee, please email ... (TBA)

Elder Brinkerhoff, Area Seventy, has encouraged each of the multistake committees to work together to ensure that all YSAs within Western Oregon & Southwest Washington are aware of the many significant activities being planned by the various committees.

Note: As part of the directive from the First Presidency, permission was granted for multistake committees to publish simple websites to foster awareness of multistake YSA activities.
